First-time Homebuyer Program

This program provides down payment and closing cost assistance to very-low and low income first-time homebuyers. The amount of assistance varies with income level and is available on a first-come, first-qualified basis until no more funding remains under the program.

Assistance is in the form of a 15-year, 0% interest deferred second loan that reverts to a grant if all program conditions are met.

Minor Home Rehabilitation Program

NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY FOR HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM AND PURCHASE ASSISTANCE HOUSING REHABILITATION FUNDS

The City of Miramar announces the availability of approximately ($3,294,065) in Housing Rehabilitation.  The source of this funding is $1,631,678 in State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funding, approximately $224,677 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funding, and approximately $1,437,710 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.  Housing rehabilitation funds will be used for the City of Miramar’s housing initiatives for very-low,  and low-income households, with priority given to special needs households.

Repairing Air Conditioner

Emergency Minor Home Repair 

The City of Miramar offers emergency home repair assistance to very low-to-low-income households residing in owner-occupied homes. This program is funded by federal, and state resources and addresses critical repairs to ensure safe and livable conditions. 

SEWER CONNECTION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM 

The Sewer Connection Grant Assistance Program is designed to provide financial support to Miramar residents who require assistance connecting their properties to the City’s main sewer system. With an up to amount of $5,000.00 Dollars.

Windows Roofs and Doors

The City of Miramar, through Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds, administers the Windows, Roof, and Doors Program to assist eligible homeowners with vital home improvements. This program aims to enhance safety, energy efficiency, and structural integrity while complying with Florida’s strict building codes. 

Foreclosure Prevention 

The city of Miramar provides foreclosure prevention assistance  for qualified homeowners. Homeowners have the opportunity to avoid foreclosures and retain their homes.  Funding is available on a first-come, first-qualified, first-served basis until no more funding remains under this program. The program is designed to assist households that need immediate financial assistance to either stop their homes from being foreclosed, sold for non-payment.

Security deposit

The Rental/Security Deposit/Utilities Program is designed to assist individuals and families with housing affordability and community stability. The program provides financial support for moving into a housing unit, covering the following expenses up to a maximum of $8,000

Small and Large Scale Business  Assistance Programs

Program Objective and Purpose

The City has established a Small and Large Scale Business Assistance Program in support of eligible businesses. The primary objective is to make funds available to small and large scale businesses. The purpose is to support the economic sustainability of those businesses within the City of Miramar.
